Danny’s upgrade for the Polk Audio Legend 600 speaker is excellent! I went all out and purchased the Sonicap upgrade as well. Building the network was a lengthy process, but was well worth the effort. Additionally, I built the network externally of the speaker cabinets. I mounted the network parts on clear plexiglass, and framed it with ash wood. They look amazing, but they sound even better! Danny’s research proves that these good speakers can be made to sound great. I’ve noticed relief from unwanted raspy sibilance in everything that comes through the mid and high range drivers. That issue cleared up very well. Additionally, the speakers just sound better overall, and I know this because I completed one speaker before I started on the other one. I was able to AB test them side-by-side, and there is a definite improvement with the upgrade. They newly networked speaker sounded natural compared to the thinner sound from the original Polk’s network. Admittedly, I wasn’t really aware of how thin the speakers sounded before the upgrade, but once they competed side-by-side an obvious improvement was heard. I now have about 100 hours on the new parts, and the speakers are sounding even better now than when I finished the network a few months ago. I should mention that I used tube connectors and high-quality speaker cables to finish the job. I’m running a Denon X4000 amplifier, Audio Technica 1240 turntable, a Shure 97X cartridge and a Musical Fidelity phono stage in my setup. It’s nothing to brag about but the whole thing makes me happy. I listen to everything from reggae to jazz, African to punk and everything in between. The only downside to the upgrade is how much money I am now spending at my local record store.

Danny is there to help if you need support. He actually answers emails directly. Thank you so much, Danny!!!
