This upgrade transforms this speaker inside and out, by swapping out the stock compression tweeter for our T26SG soft dome tweeter, and offers a full crossover over the stock full-range woofer + super tweeter arrangement.
The kit includes 2 tweeters along with new crossover parts, wire, solder, heat shrink a set of tube connectors and 3 sheets of NoRez.
Note: This upgrade does requires modifications to the cabinet to fit the T26 Tweeter.

The upgrade is a challenge because you have to cut out the inside of the speaker and add braces. The result … spectacular!!! What a great upgrade … it takes marginal speakers and makes them great.

The upgrade is not that hard, it just takes a little time. The crossover is simple and should not be a problem for most people. The improvements are dramatic. The lower crossover point allows the main driver to operate in its sweet spot with much reduced distortion. The tweeter handles the high frequencies much cleaner and sweeter. No edges. I opted for the upgraded caps which seem to perform well. Very happy with this upgrade.
