This upgrade addresses multiple issues with this model. It addresses the amplitude imbalance, stored energy and ringing, poor parts quality, ferrous material in the signal path, and even cabinet resonance control. 

The upgrade kit comes with all new high quality crossover parts, new wiring, a set of tube connectors, and 1/2 of a sheet of No Rez for controlling cabinet resonances. The crossovers do not come assembled. 

 

There is an option for adding Sonicaps to the tweeter circuit for even more improved clarity, and an option for mounting the crossover externally that will require additional tube connectors and additional wiring for connecting the crossover externally. 

 

The crossovers are easy to assemble but not easy to mount internally due to the port mounted in the center of the cabinet. The tweeter circuit and be mounted on one side wall and the woofer circuit can be mounted on the other side wall.
