The next step of the LGK line! The LGK 2.1 adds a single 5" Aluminum cone woofer to take over the bass frequency, with the LGK taking control in the midrange and above, where it really starts to sing.

This model features a sealed cabinet design, allowing for clean bass down to 70Hz with a smooth roll off, and easy integration with a subwoofer.
The design also allows for near-wall placement or on a desk without any added bass.

Taking the load off the bottom end allows the LGK 2.1s to play louder and in larger spaces than the LGK 2.0s alone, giving it much greater flexibility and up to 4x better power handling.
Recommended amplification is 10W or more for small rooms, and 25-50W for larger rooms.

Was able to assemble and build quite easily. Some lessons learned were to make sure the wires are stripped on the ends of the inductors before soldering.

Sound is awesome with crossover through a Sub at my desk and powered with Schiit Aegir. The speakers are a decent size but not as large as a full blown bookshelf speaker so for me they are the perfect size and not ported.

I picked up a pair shortly after they became available after following GR-Research’s YouTube series. I took my time with the cross over, double, and triple checking everything as it was my first DIY speaker build. I did have some questions, and the responses were quick and very helpful.

Absolutely thrilled with the result, I use them as desktop monitors. Been able to A/B test them with speakers of various brands and quality tiers and they really do punch above their weight. Even after the currency exchange and taxes to import to Canada extremely great value! Forever hooked on DIY.
