I purchased these in 1985, having to downsize from my Maggie MG1’s for a move across country. They were the most accurate speaker in the store and for $315 on sale I couldn’t resist. With the upgrades Danny recommended, bracing the cabinet and treating the steel woofer basket, the new sound is absolutely incredible. The detail is other worldly… you can hear the attack and decay of notes in exquisite detail, the sound stage has much more depth, and when sitting in the sweet spot the imaging is moving. I only wish I had made this discovery many years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed them for the first 40 years and expect to love them even more for the next 40 (if I make it that far)!!
